Yellow Pages, a Gold Partner of Canada Olympic Excellence Day

Montréal, Québec, July 6, 2015 – Yellow Pages (TSX :Y), a Canadian digital media and marketing solutions company, is proud to be a Gold Partner of Canada Olympic Excellence Day and official presenter of the event’s live concert taking place on Thursday, July 9th.

Canada Olympic Excellence Day brings together various Canadian Olympians, both past and present, alongside internationally-renown personalities from the sports world to officially inaugurate the Canadian Olympic House in the heart of downtown Montreal. The new Canadian Olympic House will be home to the COC’s Montreal office. It will be the first time the COC will have a main office in the heart of the country’s first Olympic city, centralizing sports development and athlete services. There will also be a sport science and technology centre that will allow people to walk in the shoes of an athlete and engage in virtual recreations of various sports.

The live concert will take place in the evening, at the steps of the Canadian Olympic House located at 500 René-Lévesque West, starting at 10 p.m. and will feature Quebec celebrities including Gregory Charles, Andee, Brigitte Boisjoli, Jean-François Breau, Marie-Ève Janvier, Sylvain Cossette, Roch Voisine and Alex Nevsky.

“Every sport has its athletes, every athlete has their neighbourhood. The community swimming pools where they learned to swim, the tracks at their local schools and their local martial arts clubs that they attended as kids,” said Julien Billot, President and Chief Executive Officer of Yellow Pages. “Yellow Pages is proud to sponsor Canada Olympic Excellence Day, a celebration of our Olympic athletes and the passion that begins at home.”

"I invite everyone to join over 200 Olympians and musical stars to celebrate Olympic excellence. The fact that great artists like Gregory Charles and others want to be part of Canada Olympic Excellence Day is a testimony to the power of sport to unite. That motivates us to continue our efforts to bring the Olympic Movement closer to people. That is how we will attract kids to sport. I thank all the artists for joining us," said Marcel Aubut, Canadian Olympic Committee President.

For those wanting to commemorate the event, Yellow Pages will have a photo booth with costumes and Olympic-inspired back-drop onsite at the corner of René-Lévesque West and Beaver Hall.
