New Version of ShopWise app Helps Canadians Save More This Holiday Season
Montreal (Quebec), November 19, 2013 – With wallets typically stretched around this time of year, Yellow Pages Group, a leading digital media and marketing solutions company, has launched a new version of the ShopWise app, a redesigned and rethought version of its flagship deals and shopping app. Entirely made in Canada for Canadians, it’s the first app to provide access to digital versions of flyers and shopping circulars from major retail chains across Canada. The new ShopWise helps Canadians shop more efficiently by locating thousands of deals and retail bargains wherever they are in the country.
ShopWise was initially launched with great success in 2011 generating over half a million downloads to date, making it one of the leading shopping applications in the Canadian market. It has since been re-designed with tablet users in mind as the devices are a common starting point for consumers beginning a shopping search. ShopWise offers an optimized user experience exclusively accessible on iPad by creating an online, digitally-responsive e-flyer experience, which can be easily browsed or shuffled.
The trademark geo-localized deals and savings offered by ShopWise as well as product and store information across Canada have been rearranged in easy-to-browse carousels with search by keyword, category and location functions. ShopWise’s popular “Nearby” function and push notifications have been optimized, informing holiday shoppers about where they can find deals and freebies, no matter where they are on their shopping circuit.

The new version of ShopWise is currently available only to iOS users on iPad and iPhone, with plans to roll out across all platforms in 2014.
